Our platform provides evaluation tools that were co-created with small businesses that are contributing to an ethical, equitable, and environmentally sustainable food system. By developing a service that would not otherwise be accessible, we contribute to the growth of these businesses and thus a greater food future.
A producer reaches out to us looking for support in getting substantive feedback to support their work in making quality products. Each is vetted as a producer that contributes to a more ethical, equitable, and environmentally sustainable food system.
Once accepted, they provide us with product details as well as information about the type of evaluator that best suits their needs.
We match producers with evaluators and they ship their products directly to them.
Within a week of product receipt, the evaluators submit a detailed evaluation, designed by producers in collaboration with the Ruminate team.
The producer then incorporates their feedback into the R&D process. Sometimes, they connect with evaluators for discussion or reach out about iterative feedback on the evolved products.
This program is currently in its pilot stage, and we are testing within different food communities.
